JON GUSTIN, CHIEF MARKETING OFFICER

Jon has decades of experience in the development of requirements and programs for halfway house operations. With over 30 years of government experience, 24 years with the Bureau of Prisons, and over 20 years in the development and oversight of halfway house programs nationwide, he has relevant, personal knowledge and experience that can provide you the edge necessary to win federal solicitations or to improve your current operations.

Federal and state agencies have long afforded incarcerated individuals the opportunity to spend a portion of their final days of imprisonment in Residential Reentry Centers (Halfway Houses). While halfway houses are a major feature of the criminal justice system, very little data is published about them. Companies wanting to enter (or improve) the halfway house industry are often overwhelmed with the bureaucracy of developing technical proposals, operational manuals, and policies for these facilities.

Jon has over 30 years’ experience in working with State and Federal governments. Jon is a Veteran of the U.S. Army where he was assigned as a Military Policeman and Criminal Investigator. He further worked with the State of Maryland as a Fraud Investigator for their welfare fraud division. He most recently retired from the BOP after a 24-year career, of which 20 years was dedicated to the development and oversight of community-based facilities to include Residential Reentry Centers (Halfway Houses). Jon was recognized as the subject matter expert for the Bureau of Prisons on Residential Reentry Center Operations and has testified in judicial, congressional, and oversight hearings.

TRENT CORNISH, VICE PRESIDENT OF MARKETING

Trent Cornish also has decades of experience in evaluating, developing, and advising on community supervision program services.  With over 30 years of government experience to include 23 years with the United States Probation and Pretrial Services System, and over 15 years as the Chief of Program Services for the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts tasked with the development and oversight of program services nationwide.  Trent has expertise and applicable practical and managerial experience in program services that can assist your agency in improving supervision outcomes and establishing operational efficiencies.

Trent has over 30 years’ experience in working with State and Federal governments.  Trent was recognized with the Federal Probation and Pretrial Services system as a supervision subject matter expert, as well as the nation’s lead expert in location monitoring / electronic monitoring, pretrial services, risk-based supervision and most, if not all supervision programs. Trent has testified in judicial, congressional, and oversight hearings and conducted numerous high-profile investigations and made recommendations to chief judges across the country.  Trent has had numerous articles published nationally pertaining to effective supervision, The First Step Act, and the effective use of electronic monitoring.

TRACKtech is dedicated to the field of prisoner reentry and community supervision and recognizes that successful reentry programming, coupled with effective location monitoring, is the key to reducing the unsustainable recidivism rates in the United States. Well run programs, which positively impact the incarcerated population by providing the means for success, have the greatest impact in reducing mass incarceration in the United States.

Jon and Trent are available to collaborate with your agency or individuals in the appraisal, auditing, implementation, or development of your current or planned Residential Reentry Center, location monitoring, home confinement, and other supervision programs. Jon and Trent’s knowledge of Residential Reentry Centers, Home Confinement, supervision, location monitoring, Bureau of Prisons, and United States Probation policies and procedures is instrumental in assisting in the navigation of policies and procedures effecting agencies or individuals.
